The Musings of The Idle
Started as an Art Blog, and has now developed into anything arty/landscapey or generally inspiring.

Aurora Borealis, Svalbard - National Geographic.
I am currently trying to write an essay about global cooling during the Quaternary Period (2.6 million years ago). Whilst this is obviously fascinating (?!) I would frankly rather be looking at landscapes like this.
+
Nyiragongo Volcano - National Geographic.
Imagine waking up, and peering out of your tent at this.
+
Insane. Astonishing. I wish I could see something this mammoth up close.
+
Mount Moran, Grand Teton National Park
Had a little moment of National Geographic photo surfing. I feel like I’ve been in one place for too long. I need to travel. I can hardly believe that views as striking as this exist.

Gustav Klimt.
After visiting the exhibition celebrating Klimt’s 150th birthday in Vienna whilst inter railing this summer, I have a new found love for this artist. I have great respect for anyone who retains a degree of normality despite their fame, and this photo just makes me smile.

Turner Monet Twombly at Tate Liverpool. Wish I could go and see this exhibition, but not sure I can justify the journey..
+
Beautiful.

Ben Howard - Keep Your Head Up. This song, no this whole album, but particularly this song makes me feel so summery and uplifted that I just wish it was on repeat in my mind. Love it.
